Easy Update Process

Recently updated my Pulsar w/ this cable. After installing the updater program on your laptop & connecting to your Ram's OBDII port, the process takes around 5 minutes to complete. Pretty much idiot proof, easy process. Would have given it 5 stars but the price is a bit steep for something that should have come w/ the Pulsar to begin with. With that being said, I'm happy Edge chose to make these available for purchase. Now bring on the custom tune capability please!

Worked as it should, but too expensive for one use

I bought this to update my pulsar. it worked as it should, although the mac version of the software did not work for my pulsar. I had to get my pc out and it made the process a bit more strained. It interfaced with my pulsar as it should, and updated once i had the proper machine to push the update. It does work as intended. 3 stars because the price for the cable after shipping is just way too much money for a cable that i’ll likely only use once or twice. for the price I paid for my pulsar, it should have been included.

Don’t waste time

First took almost a week to get a cord in. Price yes too high for something that won’t work. Did everything needed on PC then went to connect my truck with the cord I just finally received and won’t connect or do anything at all.

No show will update when it arrives

I purchased this cable anticipating the ability to input a custom tune which was implied would be coming soon. Still waiting for that option. So as of now it was a bad purchase, “waste of money”! It’s still in the package!

I have a 2018 ram 1500 sport. I bought the PULSAR and the OBD update cable together. The update cable works on the 2018’s despite having a non-oem bock on the OBD port. The PULSAR instructions say to download “IGNITION FOR PC” though that does not exist on their site. Figured out it was replaced by “Update Agent 1.0”, as stated on the page for the cable itself. Installed it, plugged it in, and it errored out right away. After turning the ignition to run, it worked fine, which the instructions don’t tell you, though it makes sense. When it was done, it was up to date, so they must update them before shipping them out. So, it works as advertised, and I look forward to what updates come down the road.

I installed the Edge Pulsar in my 2019 Ram Rebel and love it. The functionality to switch modes on the fly is outstanding. The performance mode is dynamic and super responsive. I added a CAI along with the Edge Pulsar and the truck is a whole new truck. Well worth the investment!

I bought this in hopes it would fix problems I had related to my pulsar edge. It made no change. My problems may be isolated, but I ultimately removed the unit and the truck is back to normal.
