Better acceleration and mileage

Installed this Puslar on my 2021 2500 with the 6.4L Hemi. It was an easy install about 15 mins. Did not get a single check engine light or problem light of any kind like I read in so many Ram forum reviews from years past. I drive around on A1A in Florida at around 40 mph and fuel mileage increased by 1.7 mpg. Surprisingly highway mileage is about the same. I use 87 octane and have been running in Tow mode MDS on. Truck is much more peppy and runs faster when I stomp on the gas but I typically drive more conservatively and see better mileage. I recommend this product.

Basically it’s a throttle commander with option to turn off mds. 4 stars do to the price. .

I bought the pulsar the week that it was released for 2020's and have been using it for 4 months. The Pulsar wakes up the 6.4 hemi and improves throttle response. You could buy an unlocked PCM, programmer and custom tune for about 3 times the price or buy a pulsar get about the same performance. Anyone that is looking for better performance from their Ram 6.4 should buy one.

My truck is a 2020 crew cab 4X4 with 4.10 gears on 33” tires and a Bilstein coil spring leveling kit. Everything else is stock including the intake and exhaust. I’m running 91 octane when in Performances with MDS off. WOW!!! Is definitely an understatement! This was by far not only the easiest performance modification I have ever done to a vehicle, it may be one of the most impressive ones too. First of all being able to permanently disable the MDS is great. The MDS really sucks compared to other vehicles that I’ve driven with it. Driving in Stock with MDS off is a huge improvement in drivability. Driving in Performance with MDS off is awesome! Throttle response is instantaneous and I was blown away by the improvement in acceleration. And because the ZF8HP75 transmission is so capable, it’s learning to shift like it’s a hot rod. The engine revs right through to redline and the transmission snaps through the gears putting me back in my seat. My truck was already a blast to drive and this made it even better. ***One word of caution during installation. One of my locking tabs broke off of my trucks wiring harness. It had to be defective from the factory because only one broke and I barely touched it.***

Absolutely love it! Makes a huge difference when towing my RV and boat with 2020 Ram 2500 with 6.4L. Had one in my 2016 1500 with the 5.7L. That was worked well, but was glitch and would throw an occasional check engine light. They have obviously worked out the bugs. I just towed my 30' bumper pull RV from California to Pennsylvania without a single issue. When not towing it really woke up my truck. I love driving in the performance mode. Highly recommend.

Better than expected

I have been waiting for a long time for this tuner to come out. Its better than I expected. My favorite setting is Tow with MDS OFF. This setting is perfect for everyday driving. The throttle response is drastically improved, The gears hold and shift at the right time and the extra power is noticeable. Honestly, I would have bought this just to permanently turn off the stupid MDS. The performance setting is a bit to much. I played with it for a while but the throttle response was way to sensitive for me, Kept squealing the tires. Bottom line, this will wake up your truck and it will drive like it should.

Just installed this morning on my 2019 2500 6.4. I'm running 37"s and thought I could use a little extra HP and torque........ Well, "little" is an understatement. 0-60 was drastically quicker, throttle response was instant, really woke up this beast. Can't wait to see how it does in tow mode. Fantastic product!

I bought this to eliminate the mds to help tow our camper better and it was worked perfectly. My mpg average is better overall now as well and I only run it in stock mode with mds off.

The Pulsar module came through again‼️ I had it in my 2017 Ram Rebel and loved it and now it’s in my 2021 Ram Power Wagon. It will definitely wake up your truck

I'll cut right to the chase - I have a 2021 Power Wagon and none of the "MDS Off" modes actually turn MDS off - I still have to manually shift into 8th gear, which on the surface is minor since the Eco and Performance modes work well otherwise; however, I paid for this tune specifically to not have to remember to manually shift every time I put the pickup in drive. I took a picture showing I'm in "Stock MDS Off" mode; unfortunately, the flash blurred out the fact that MDS was also on. Next time I go somewhere I'll update this review if there are doubters. I'll also update if Tech Support can help me resolve the issue - hoping the answer I get is not "buy the $40 cable and update" - I wouldn't think I should have to immediately pay to update to get basic functionality out of a $500+ tuner.

Completely change my truck driving experience while accelerating in a more string feeling and different transmission timing. get rid of the cylinders shut off is also a big plus.
