Something wrong

I love it beside the fact it keeps crashing and when it does it makes my pickup miss and a check engine light comes on. Don’t know if it’s just my display but something seems wrong

CTS3

So far I love it. Gives me all the information I want that the truck dash does not. Especially EGT. Only complaint is sometimes when I start the truck it doesn’t wake up until I tap the screen. Also wish it would show transmission slip and torque converter slip. It may and I haven’t found it yet. Showing torque converter lock is one of my favorite features next to EGT.

Purchased the Insight CTS3 for my Duramax LB7 to monitor my engine and transmission parameters after switching from the CTS2/Juice With Attitude combination to Live Wire tuning to support my modifications. In my opinion, the CTS3 definitely outperform the CTS 2 and the CS controllers I owned in the past.

Extremely unhappy with my purchase of this item. The amount of problems that occur with this thing during a drive is way to many for the amount I paid for it it. Almost never reads properly and constantly gives errors. I wouldn’t buy it.

Exactly what I was looking for! I wanted something to keep check on my truck. I was always pointed here. I love the customization of the layouts. Although I thought the Insight was the tuner /display model, it is still amazing. My fault for not verifying before hand. But I have a programmer already so no biggie. I recommend this to anyone who is looking to add a monitor /gauge/display to any vehicle.

Hopefully Bugs Get Worked Out

Having owned a CTS2, I was hoping for a similar 5 star review. I have found however there are some bugs with the new model that are still being worked out. I think this might have been pushed out too quickly. For those of you that have trucks with remote start, there is a bug that will delete PIDs after a remote start. I found the only way to get the PIDs back was to reset to factor default which then requires you to set up all the gauges you want again. I also got some suspicious check engine codes while the CTS3 was in the error'd state. Once I reset the CTS3 to factory default I stopped getting the check engine codes. I submitted this to tech support and was told they know about some of these problems and have fixes in the works. Still waiting to hear from engineering as tech support had to elevate my issues.

I had the CTS2 and decided to upgrade to the Edge Insight CTS3. What a difference. I have several more choices for gauges, themes, colors, and I can set up the gauges the way I want them. Very happy.

CTS3 on 2006 Chevy Express Van 5.3

This is my 3rd Edge Digital Gauge/Programmer over the years. The most recent is the CTS3 for a 2006 Chevy Express Van with the 5.3. Edge does not specifically make one for this vehicle but I thought I’d give it a shoot, since I have always had good success with there products and there customer service in the past. It took some work and patience, but after playing with different gauge screen layouts and putting the right gauge in the spot it liked on the screen I finally got it to display the ones I wanted. It did freeze several times and gauges would revert back to factory settings or disappear all together. But after about a week of messing with it, she’s working like a champ. What I would like to see changed is. When adjusting, let’s say the RPM gauge for Max RPM. The start point is from factory is 15000. To change that to a lower number, like 6000, you have to hold your finger at the right spot on the screen for 6 minutes! There are several gauges like that. And then, like in my case, where the Unit was not specifically made for my vehicle and you loose your settings a few times before you get it where it likes it, was a bit frustrating. Also the mounting suction cup arm, in my opinion, should be more adjustable. In my case I had to cut the suction cup off and mount it to dashboard and not the windshield. So in conclusion, I love Edge products and would, and probably will, buy more in the future as we get different vehicles.

I was very upset when I received the CTS3 and realized that you need another adaptor to get the back up camera to work. So I go to buy adaptor and Edge did not come out with it yet? I am replacing a CTS2 and can’t use my camera? Why would you release a product and not an accessory?

I like how fast it is compared to the cts2. Screen is nice and clear. My only issue i have is when my truck sits outside in the sun the screen goes crazy. It acts like someone is just pushing on the screen over and over.

Don't buy it until they fix the issues

I bought this when it came out. When I got it, it didn't work. None of the gauges would show up. It would give me an error. Called edge and the sent me another one. The second one was just as bad. I called edge again, and they had me send in some files so they could have their engineers work on it. A week and a half later, I was informed there was an update available that should fix my issue. So I downloaded the update and went to try it out. Still didn't work and was just as bad as before. So I'm getting my money back. I am not the only person with this issue. Facebook groups have loads of people with the same problem. This product was released way before it was ready. I am not happy about the time I wasted trying to get this thing to work, when it should have worked right out of the box.

Great product for monitoring gauges. I didn’t not opt for the tuning. But a flaw is that it is quicker than the 2. The operating system is still very slow to load

The monitor is amazing purchased and used all the same vehicle hookups from previous model *CTS2* but. There is no PID for the GEAR TCL on my 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7l Cummins with 68RFE automatic transmission. Any solution or will it be added in a later update like the older Cummins will get later this summer?

EDGE CTS3 ACTING UP

I got this a few months ago and everytime I turn on my truck the edge blinks and flashes in the most annoying way saying my trans temp is 400 degrees which is obviously not true. The screen always glitches out and never shuts of when the truck is off. I thought it would have been better.

Doesn’t connect to mystyle

Bought the CTS3 and competition kit to try to monitor everything needed on 6.0 powerstroke. The CTS won’t link up to mystyle. Have tried multiple computers running different windows (not Windows XP) and it still won’t connect. Advice from tech support was to wait two weeks, update, try again. Been rinse and repeat for the last 5 months. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have $800 to literally throw in the trash.
