Best upgrade on this truck to date

Had this product for 2 months now with no issues other the lots of smiles and playing with the settings! In economy setting getting best mileage 23.9 and a good average of 21 and in tow setting pulling a 30 inclosed trailer loaded down good average 12.5 mpg and regens cut in half and it doesn't use half as much def fuild too and the other setting are just fun for sure! Glad to be part of the test run no issues great product as always!

For staying EPA complaint I am truly amazed!!!

I've been dying for this product to be released!! Well day #1 I put my order in & have been nothing but surprised & excited with the outcome!!! Installed the unit on 11/18/19 along with the Insight CTS2 monitor. So far have put about 350 miles with nothing but smiles!! Install was fairly simple. Following along with the provided install video makes it much easier. The push tabs on the harness took me a second to figure out. You simply pull the tab up then push it in to unlock the lever. The space around the ECU is a bit tight, so if you have large hands & forearms you may want a smaller person to help. Not the tightest place I've had to stick my hands so wasn't to bad overall. When removing & replacing ECU/unit make sure to get the angles right. Once you've got it hooked back up & bolted down, jump in the driver seat & watch the magic happen. Pulsar is instantly responsive to the command settings. Watch the speedo tell you what level your on, adjust idle speed at the touch of a button & don't forget about adjustimg for tire size! I've been nothing but impressed so far!! Took a buddy for a ride that hotrods his stage 3 VW GTI & he about crapped himself b/c he was NOT expecting this heavy beast to give him whiplash lol. For staying EPA & warranty complaint I am truly amazed!!! Worth every dollar for the fun you have with this simple upgrade!!!!! Haven't had any noticeable decrease in MPG as long as I stay out of it every now & then. Cruising down the highway at 76 still getting 18+ mpg unloaded on level 5. I'll upload some videos & 1/4 mile times later this week. 11/19/19.

L5P Pulsar

I have been beta testing the Pulsar for quite a few months now and I love it! Right from the start there have been no issues at all. The throttle response is night and day difference, I tow heavy loads and I was impressed with the L5P towing before the Pulsar and now with it it’s gotten even better, and I have gained mpg. I love how easy it is to switch between levels it’s a very cool idea they came up with. The install is very simple and I really like how slim it is with now wires hooked to it. The power is great throughout all of the levels I mostly run mine on level 2 that’s where I have found the best mpg. Jared and Jordan at Edge were great to work with and always were there to help and answer any questions. I highly recommend this product I am very happy with it!

This pulsar has been amazing! I’ve been running it on my 2019 L5P since the end of April 2019 after buying it brand new. When I installed the pulsar my truck had like 300 miles on it I now have 14k!! It’s pretty sick instal, plug and play, supper easy to install literally two bolts to take the ECM off and snap the pulsar on and it piggy backs to the ECM that it won’t leave any foot print on the ECM. I take it off every time I take it to the dealer for oil changes and it probably takes 3 min to take it off. Milage is way better on the freeway unloaded at the pump it’s about 17-18mpg I run mine on stage 5. the regen isn’t as frequent. Definitely increased power when towing it’s a night an day difference. Also one of the things I love about it is you can change the stages on the fly with the steering wheel cruse control buttons. It’s pretty slick! Also if you get the Edge insight CTS2 it shows you when the truck goes into regen, a little green light will come on on the monitor. As well as these L5P has every EGT probe on the truck already so that way the insight can monitor. It’s pretty sick!

I have had the L5P Pulsar unit for over a month. It has great power improvement Mostly drive in the 3rd power setting. Mileage is increased. Adjusted the Speedometer to match my tire size. Overall very happy.

I installed the Pulsar about 3 weeks ago, so far I’m very happy with it. I am finding that I go into regen more often and my fuel economy drops when I’m in economy mode. Fuel mileage goes up significantly when I’m in performance mode. Over all I’m very happy with the Pulsar.

I installed this module after being unhappy with my trucks stock power and towing capability. I'm extremely happy with the results. Setting 1 is a nice power increase that is noticeable as soon as I push the gas! Nice for driving around town. Setting 2 is perfect for towing my fully loaded 40 ft toyhauler! Gets me up to speed without spiking my EGTs. I feel the added torque holding my speed up all grades. I have to keep looking back to make certain my trailer is still there! Setting 3 is perfect for all driving conditions and the increased power allows me to get to speed (right now) and sustain it while saving gas. My mileage per gallon increased by 4 mpg. This setting also decreases gas peddle response lag. Setting 4 is fun and FAST, definitely a setting for the highway and Interstate. Setting 5 is definitely where this module makes its money! Wow, the Hp and torque increase is AWESOME! From the moment I touch the gas peddle I am put back in my seat as my Dually breaks the tires loose (if I choose) and I'm gone. This setting is phenomenal and deserves the respect its power commands! I'm extremely happy with my decision to install this Edge module! The added power is exceptional and the increased MPG allows me to travel further and refuel less often. Buy it, install it, relish in its power!

L5P Pulsar

I got chosen to be a tester for the L5P Pulsar. Instead the nest day after the fast shipping. Installation instructions are easy to follow and are very clear on how to install the Pulsar. The Throttle response is amazing and the adjustability of power levels is by far the best out of any programmer I have ever had. I absolutely love the power of setting five, been using Settings two and three for towing. My mileage is now Averaging 19/20 mpg if I not playing with my buddy’s in the stock L5P. I highly recommend this product and Edge is the best manufactures on the market. Thanks Edge for letting me be a tester on the awesome product.

I was a beta tester on the Pulsar and have been running it for several months. Edge was great to listen to the feedback they were given and made adjustment accordingly. The end result was great and I'm thrilled with the product. I tow 90% of the time I,m beside the wheel. Love how easy it is to adjust the settings on the fly. Also love how you can change the calibration for the speedometer for different tire size. Before the Pulsar I was running a pedal commander to get ride of the dead pedal. Pulsar takes care of that as well.

I have this on my 2019 L5P LTZ and absolutely love it. The power added and pedal response are way better. I have it stacked with a CAI and my truck absolutely moves down the road now. I have noticed a solid 2-3 MPG increase as well. Install was as easy as it gets and changing modes is the best thing. It runs very similar to my deleted LML now.

The Pulsar is super easy to install and works flawlessly. Install took all of 10 min and immediately noticed a difference on my first drive. One of the best parts is the use of the cruise control buttons to adjust the settings. I also saw an increase of about 2 mpg on the highway. Highly recommend if you are looking to add power to your L5P!

Night and Day Difference

Just received this product today and installed in about 35 minutes including the CTS2 Monitor. Went on quick 20 minute drive and the response from the pedal is amazing. Switching use the steering wheel controls is a nice touch. I feel the throttle response and truck pick up on level 5 is better than my iDash was on level 6.

I have been running the Pulsar for more than a month now and overall I very happy happy with everything it has to offer. The install was very simple and could easily be removed to return the truck to stock. Changing power levels is very easy and feel extremely modern. Throttle response & economy have increased both driving daily and towing. I am excited to continue to test all the power levels.

I originally had the Banks Derringer setup with the Idash which I also really liked. I was offered the chance to become a beta tester for this product and have not looked back since then. Overall I am incredibly pleased with the reliability, features, increased output, and more. I prefer the feel of this product over the Derringer and even more so over stock. My truck is so much more responsive and it is noticeably more peppy. The options of being able to recalibrate the speedometer, the ease of adjusting the power levels, the elevated idle options, etc I could go on. I love this product. The most difficult thing is installing the product to the ECM which in total took about 20-30 minutes. My suggestion is to clean the connectors, make sure pressure is applied evenly to make sure to not damage any of the pins, and take your time.

Have only driven about 400 miles with Pulsar, previously had derringer. I 100% prefer the install of the Pulsar, the tune select is way easier/nicer, I did add the CTS2 for visibility and thats an awesome product as well. I did strap the upper coolant hose out the way during install, and lubed up ECM connectors (salt and sand stiffens them up) The power seems to be more than Banks, and the intergrated pedal commander made a huge difference with throttle response! I have not hand calculated mileage yet, however on the DIC it has increased from before. Most of the driving has been in the highest tune, with winter fuel. Excited to tow the sled trailer!

Fantastic product, marked horsepower, torque, and fuel milage noticed, I installed the unit in about an hour with basic tools. I pretty much only drive in mode 3, which is listed as their “drive mode.” With the Allison adaptive transmission I don’t like the idea of changing power settings a lot. Thing has been well worth the investment.

L5P Pulsar Review

I ordered this unit Thursday, 11/14 and received on Monday morning. The install went great and easy - only taking about 20 minutes to complete. The most difficult part of the install was disconnecting the (3) clamp harnesses connected to the ECU. Once installed and cycled through the power levels I could feel an increase in power and throttle response immediately. I noticed one DEF Regen phase while driving nearly 25 miles with the new Pulsar installed but then completed a 200 mile trip with no sign of regen which makes me think the cycle time didn't decrease causing more regens. I haven't used any other tuning products so I have no way of comparing, nor do I care to at this point. Cruise control set at 80 for 100 miles averaging 21mpg on Power Level 5 is solid in my book! I would recommend this product to anyone with an L5P.

L5P savior

Beta tester. 18 gmc 3500. Helped the L5P run like a 400 hp diesel should. I’m hooked to a trailer 90% of the time, before I got the pulsar I was very disappointed in my duramax, had poor throttle response and terrible fuel economy. The pulsar has increased my fuel mileage on average about 3.5 mpg and 50 to 100 miles more between regens.

Easy install and programming

I ordered the Pulsar for the L5P on Thursday, it arrived today, quick shipment. The install for me was a little difficult. due to my truck being lifted (nothing a few beers could not fix). I was able to adjust the power level I wanted and also was able to adjust my tire size, super simple to do. I’m excited to run this and see if it helps my fuel mileage like I want. I will update it in about 3 months after some miles on the Pulser. GREAT PRODUCT SO FAR...

BETA test detailed review

BETA tester: MY TRUCK: 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500 Duramax with a 6.5" BDS lift, 20 inch XD Rockstar rims, 35" Falken Wildpeak tires, rough country 30" light bar on a Go Rhino 2.0 bed bar and a Retrax XR hard retractable cover. Want everyone to have full picture of what is on the truck and added weight. OVERALL: I love the product and would place on my next vehicle. See below for detailed reviews. MPG's: Prior to getting the tire update to allow for adjusted tire size I got the following MPG's. NOTE: that during the economy and drive settings it was at or below freezing therefore there would have been more times of truck sitting warming up/idling instead of turning the key and going. Tried to stay around same mileage driven for below AVG's(see pics 344 miles-358miles) Level 1(Economy setting) I AVG 11.3 MPG Level 2(Tow) did not use Level 3(Drive setting) I AVG 11.7 MPG Level 4(Performance setting) I AVG 13.2 Level 5(Extreme setting) I AVG 12.8 MPG. Again these are without adjusting for larger tire size. I will run all they MPG's again with the tire size adjusted to give a more accurate picture as well. INSTALL: It can be done with one person but wouldn't recommend as you can do it with two people in about 30 min. I would have to say that if in the design they would have "L" notched the corner that fits over the ac line and L notched the top opposite corner it would of saved time and made it a much easier one man job. Without those notches you almost need two people to push on the lines to move them enough to drop the pulsar into place. Be very careful of the prongs when sliding plug onto the pulsar as they are very easy to bend especially if trying to do install by yourself. I can pretty much guarantee you will bend one of the prongs at least once as the plug needs to be slide straight on without any angle. Just straighten it out and slide plug on. SETTINGS: Foremost the ease of changing settings on the fly is awesome and will be a requirement on everything going forward. My favorite setting is the performance setting because I get the most response in my truck in this setting as opposed to the others. I would of thought the Extreme setting would of been my go to had you asked me prior to using. To caveat on to the above and why I chose the performance setting. Initially I noticed that the settings do not appear to have a lot of low end....notice more of the performance and pickup in the mid-range area. I say this because when I run the settings and mash the gas to the floor you don't have that instant through yourself back in the seat, you get that more after you have hit second to third gear. In playing with all the settings I get the most response in my truck in the performance setting. I will continue to play some more after this most recent update and continue to provide feedback as more updates come. COMPETITION COMPARISON: I would say performance wise similar to my bully dog, however the bully dog was not shift on the fly,so edge goes to edge....no pun intended. Not quite comparable to my truck that was deleted, but that also would not be comparing apples to apples. As this is my first time as a beta tester, I expected more hiccups than a couple updates, I can not speak highly enough about the quality of what they put out to test prior to releasing to the public. CHANGES: See install. I would also like to see option of wireless updating through the Insight or similar system or direct plug in with phone for update as many of the new phones have the storage to do a direct update.

Performance, EGTs, Setting, and satisfaction!

This product is amazing and I also installed the WCFab 3” Intake horn and S&B Intake system and really woke the truck up sounds totally different sounds like a jet sucking air. Only thing I have found is number five setting is too much and it slips the tranny a little and it detunes the motor which is a good thing keeps you from tearing up the truck! number four will kick sideways on dry pavement I am extremely happy with it and banks in a video says that the EGT‘s get hot and that is false I pull a 350unit seed tender And I can put it to the floor and does not go over 1302° so that is false information!! Would recommend this for anybody looking for a performance because it runs great And has not really affected fuel mileage it’s been hooked to a seed tender since I installed it so I cannot confirm on the fuel mileage

Iv been waiting since I got my truck in July for this to come out, and I’m glad I waited! This thing is absolutely amazing. Level 5 will definitely put a smile on your face! Even on level 5 and driving in town my fuel MPG went up about 3 - 4. Once you hit 3rd gear lock up you can just lay into it will put you in the seat. I have the CTS2 monitor and I feel like they are a great pair together! I’m looking forward to see what new tunes edge comes out with. Don’t waste your time second guessing yourself just order it!!

Purchased the Friday before official release. Install took about 20 minutes on my 2018 2500HD.. Noticeable power and response difference on each power level. I stay on level 5 and have not noticed any mileage change or regen interval changes.. Many more Smiles per Gallon though!!!!!!!

Work Truck

This box is great for adding noticeable power and changing tire size. It also excels at increasing egts and adding 0 boost. Because of the increased egts when towing, I have to switch back to the stock tune daily. My transmission hates the switching back and forth. Great for street trucks, but don't plan on towing with any of the pulsars power levels. If you can tow with a pulsar, you should have purchased a gasser.
